The school year is almost over and the summer holidays are looking around the corner. We hope you are already enjoying the nice weather a bit. From 2023, children will have to be registered with IKMF to take a Krav Maga exam. This will also involve a fee of 10,- per year. This is necessary so that the federation can continue to guarantee quality and continuity. More information on the benefits of IKMF membership can be found at here find.

Taus Gym offers curriculum trainings and pre-tests, so that you can go into the exam with full confidence. The dates for these moments are listed below. You can register for these courses via the contact form.

Holiday period

Taus Gym is also going on holiday for a fortnight this summer. From 7 August to 22 August, we will be closed. The two weeks before, we will have a modified schedule. You can find the schedule in the agenda find.

During this short holiday period, you can rest and enjoy the weather, so that you can train well again after the holidays. To make sure you won't miss too much, you can come and join all classes from 16 July to 12 September, including those outside your membership!

Training in summer

The sun is starting to shine more and more, and this means it is getting warmer again. It's great to be outside a lot and exercise in this weather. That is why it is extra important that you drink enough, especially before you come to exercise.

Since the weather is so nice, we also want to have the possibility of training outside during the summer months. Therefore, during the period from June to September, please bring your outdoor sports shoes when you come to train. The assembly location for outdoor training will remain the current training location.

In Breda, we have a number of fixed days when we can train outside, because we cannot play sports in the hall then. These outdoor training sessions will take place on Thursday 28 July, Monday 1 August, Thursday 25 August and Monday 29 August. If a training session cannot take place due to the weather, this will be announced via e-mail and website at least two hours in advance.

Krav maga report

We find that there is a lot of curiosity from parents about what we all do in lessons and how the children's progress is going. Of course, we already have the Whatsapp groups where we share what the lessons are like, but we would like to inform both parent and child on a more personal level about how things are going. Therefore, from now on, we are going to bring along a quarterly report that will briefly but concisely show the progress for each child. This will include how they are doing in lessons, whether they are ready for the pre-test or exam and where they currently stand. The kids and youngsters will receive this report on paper to take home. In this way, we hope to make the training sessions just a little more personal. The first report will be given before the summer holidays.

Parents who are not yet in the group app can send an app to 0653974470, and we will add you!

Taus Gym wishes everyone a happy, sunny and, above all, active summer!
