The holiday period
At Taus Gym, we are also taking a two-week holiday this summer. From 7 August to 22 August, the gym will be closed. The two weeks before, we will have a modified schedule. You can check it in the agenda.
During the period that Taus Gym is closed, you can take a nice rest, so that you can get right back into it after the holidays. To make sure you can catch up on the training sessions you missed during the holiday period, everyone is allowed to train from 16 July to 12 September. all classes, including those outside your membership.
Training in summer
Everyone notices that the weather is getting nicer and nicer. Of course, we can enjoy this to the fullest, but for sports, you need to be prepared. So make sure you are well hydrated when you come to class and that you have enough water with you. Make sure that if you are going to exercise on a hot day that you drink 1 to 2 litres more than you normally do.
Depending on how nice the weather remains, the possibility of outdoor training will return. Therefore, during the summer months (June to September), bring your outdoor sports shoes in addition to your sports equipment. The meeting place for outdoor training will remain the current training location.
In Breda, we have fixed dates when outdoor training will take place, as we cannot train in the hall then. These training sessions will take place on Thursday 28 July, Monday 1 August, Thursday 25 August and Monday 29 August. If these training sessions cannot take place due to the weather, this will be announced via e-mail and website at least two hours in advance.
First aid course
We will organise another first aid course after the summer. This course will focus on first aid in sports accidents. This will help us ensure the safety of Taus Gym members. Members are also welcome to join this course with a maximum of 10 participants. The course lasts 1 day and an e-learning should also be made. The cost of the course will be between €120 and €150. After this course, participants will receive a certificate complying with European legislation. Interested in participating? Then register via the contact form.
Training on Wednesday evening
We would like to remind members that on Wednesday evenings there is an opportunity to continue training independently with a training buddy after 21:00. Take advantage of this. It is useful, for example, if your exam is coming up or if you want to study a particular technique. NOTE: do come to class if you are interested in this free training, not only is a warm-up important, but we only offer this option if there is enough interest.
Last but not least, several instructors are often present at Wednesday's training. This allows us to divide the group by level, allowing you to train in a more targeted way.
So come and train on Wednesday evenings too!
Women-only course
After the summer period, the Women-Only course will also restart. In this course, you can focus on specific situations that women often experience. The course offers self-defence entirely focused on women's experience. If you want more information about the course itself, read here more.
The next Women-Only course will run from September 26 to November 28, 2022. All classes in the course will take place on Mondays, from 20:15h to 21:15h. Does this sound like something you would be interested in? Then you can apply here subscribe!
