This training is specially organised for the parents of our kids and youth members!
Would you like to participate? Then let us know via contact form.
The registration deadline is 17 November 2024.

Women only: Empowerment Workshop
At Taus Gym, we are seeing more and more women coming to train, and we think that's super cool! To celebrate this, we are organising a special workout especially for all women at Taus Gym.
During this training you will work with other strong women on self-confidence and resilience. We focus on situations you might face in everyday life, and help you to be stronger.
This training will be provided at Thursday 16 January 2025 By IKMF Stay Away director Louise Pross.
All ladies aged 14 and over from Taus Gym are welcome to join this workout! The fee is €15.
We are still looking for a suitable venue and time. These will be announced soon.
The registration deadline is 2 January 2025. Sign up via contact form.
Halloween training
The Halloween training sessions are also returning this year!
The Krav Maga classes for kids (8-12 years old) will have another exciting twist in the last week of October. The training sessions will then be themed and we ask you to come to class dressed up too so we can have a spooky party together!
On the following dates, classes will have a spooky touch and you may don your coolest, scariest costume for our special Halloween workouts:
Tilburg: Monday 28 October and Tuesday 29 October 2024
Breda: Monday 28 October and Thursday 31 October 2024
All our kids Krav Maga members are welcome and registration for these trainings is not necessary. We do want to know if there are any parents who would like to help with these spooky training sessions. Please let us know via contact form!
Hope to see you then too!

COLUMN DIETICIAN MEREL COENDERS
Trainee at Just Dietetics
My name is Isis van der Velden and I am currently doing the MBO course ‘’consultant sustainable living environment’’ at Yuverta in Tilburg.
I am doing an internship at Gewoon Diëtetiek because I am following the lifestyle specialisation on my course and I want to learn more about nutrition and health.
This article is about food print, I chose to write about this topic because it has often been covered in school and because it is very important for our future.
What is your food footprint?
Eating healthy is good, but eating sustainably is also important. By looking at your food footprint, you can find out whether you are a sustainable eater. In this article you will read what the food footprint means, its importance and how you can reduce your food footprint.
Earth is made up of land and water. The land is used for agriculture to grow food for people. Every person uses some of this space on earth. Currently, humans are using too much earth's surface, resulting in the earth not being able to recover in time to continue providing us with food. If the world's population is divided by the earth's surface area, it calculates how much area of land is available. Based on a fair distribution, there is only 0.9 hectares of agricultural land available per person. In general, an average Dutch person uses 1.6 hectares of agricultural land. This is more than there is available, causing damage to the environment.
Reducing your food footprint can contribute to a more sustainable future for our planet. Reducing your food footprint helps reduce the strain on natural resources, such as water and land. By reducing your food footprint, we can reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which helps fight climate change.
There are several ways you can make sure you become a more sustainable eater. For example, by eating less meat and dairy. Dairy products have a larger carbon footprint than plant-based foods.
Buying local and seasonal produce is also a good choice. These products often have a lower impact as they require less transport energy. Also make sure you don't waste food, but rather store it so that the food can be eaten the following day, for example.
Now that you know what the food footprint means, you probably want to find out how big your food footprint is! Via the nutrition centre's website (Food print - Food Centre), you can fill in a test and get to see exactly how many hectares of farmland you use. Below are tips that can help you reduce your food footprint!
