WOMEN ONLY ADVANCED KRAV MAGA COURSE
For all ladies who have previously participated in the Krav Maga Women Only course and all ladies attending regular Krav Maga classes, we have developed a special course. In spring, we will organise an advanced Women Only course of 6 lessons. With this course, we broaden and deepen the knowledge of self-defence that women can get into. There will be a free introductory class on Monday 24 April. The lessons take place on Mondays from 20:15 to 21:15 and the course starts on Monday 8 May and runs until 19 June (except 29 May Whitsun). The cost is €95 for early bird registrations (before 26 April) or €115 regular bird after 26 April.
Register for the course now and welcome to our introductory class via the contact form.
Change in membership fees
We would like to inform you of a change in membership fees. From the dues month of May, the membership fees of all current memberships will be adjusted. You can check the new fees here find.
We tried to delay this change as long as possible despite the rising costs, but unfortunately we cannot escape it. If you registered after 15 March 2023, there will be no change as the new membership fees had already been implemented for new members at that time.
If you have a multi-year membership, you keep the 10%, 20% or 30% discount compared to the standard membership. So this discount does not change.
If you have any questions about this change, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your understanding.
New Aggression Management course
We would like to share the good news that our instructor Riaz Taus has recently successfully completed the post HBO course in aggression management at the Ponsacademie. As a result, we are pleased to announce that we are now offering a new course: Aggression management!
But what exactly does aggression management entail? During this training you will learn how to deal safely and effectively with aggression from others. You learn how to recognise aggression at an early stage, categorise it and then de-escalate it. All this mainly takes place before the situations we cover in Krav Maga classes. You will learn to apply de-escalating conversation techniques and to listen carefully to your own emotions.
We are currently planning the course and we would love it if you let us know in advance if you are interested. You can do this via our contact form.
We look forward to working with you on managing aggression and developing the right skills to handle these situations!

We would also like to highlight our grappling classes. These classes are suitable for everyone from 14 years old onwards, whether you are already a FIT or Krav Maga member. As a current member, you may even attend 2 free trial lessons. Curious? Then click on this link.

We would also like to draw your attention to our modified schedule due to holidays and/or holidays. Check the agenda for any changes. Sam says goodbye to us and we would like to thank her for her efforts and wish her good luck with her future plans!

Supplements
The other day I saw a episode of Boos over Viteezy: a company that sells personalised packages of vitamins, minerals and other nutritional supplements. You fill in some questions and a recommendation of vitamins and minerals rolls out, which you can then order from them. However, this episode featured a girl who had suffered liver poisoning from taking a particular supplement. An extreme case, but it got me thinking. Because companies like Viteezy are popping up more and more often. Unfortunately, these companies are not concerned with your health, but selling their product.
When you eat healthy and whole foods, you do not need nutritional supplements. In fact, a number of nutrients are known to be harmful when taken in excess for long periods. For instance, more than 250 mg of magnesium from tablets can have a laxative effect, excessive doses of vitamin D can lead to kidney damage and too much vitamin B6 can damage the nervous system. You can only get this ‘overdose’ by taking supplements.
There are specific cases where taking extra vitamins and minerals does become necessary, for example vitamin D for people over 70 or with darker skin. Also, if you eat vegetarian or vegan, certain dietary supplements are important. In these cases, always check the right amount with a doctor or dietician.
Don't feel well, fit or think you need some extra? Then see what you can change in your current diet before reaching for supplements. Talk to a doctor or dietician about which supplements might be advisable. And if you are in doubt about deficiencies, have your blood levels checked.
