NEWSLETTER VOLUME 10 NO. 2

By Riaz 0

We are already in the last quarter of 2021. Taus Gym has gone through many developments this year and we are still working hard to always provide you with the best offer. In this newsletter, we discuss the new grappling class, membership changes, the new FIT Circuit class, upcoming curriculum training, pre-tests and exams, holiday schedules and end-of-year drinks! We also thank Paul in this newsletter for his contribution to the kids krav maga classes.

NEW: GRAPPLING LES

Grappling is one of our members' favourite disciplines. Grappling is a martial art where you learn how to overpower your opponent by applying takedowns and submissions. This martial art is relatively very safe because the techniques applied are all about control. In addition, you can set your limits at all times by tapping out. With grappling, you work on your flexibility, stamina, strength and coordination. It also gives you a sense of control and security. Grappling is therefore a huge boost for your body and mind! It will teach you how to handle challenging situations you want to get out of safely and quickly.

The grappling class will start with a try-out. This means that from Saturday 16 October to 16 February, there will be a class every Saturday in Tilburg from 10:30 to 11:30 anyway. As the grappling class is a new type of training, your membership will have to be adjusted for it. Read there here more on.

The grappling class is taught by Marcel de Groot. He has years of competition experience in grappling. Read here More on Marcel!

CHANGES IN MEMBERSHIP

To keep our gym running smoothly, we need to adjust membership fees every so often. We do this not only because of inflation and increased costs, but also because we want to and can provide you with more and more offerings and more quality.

The new membership fees will be valid for current members from 1 January 2022. For members who have a multi-year membership, the new membership fees will only apply after the expiry of the multi-year membership. Do you not yet have a multi-year membership and still want to use the current rates after 1 Jan 2022 and receive a discount on your membership? Then you can still change your membership to a multi-year membership until 1 Dec 2021. Click here To update your membership.

See here for the new membership fees!

NEW FIT CIRCUIT CLASS

On Saturday, we will offer not only the new grappling class, but also a new FIT circuit class. This will take place from 09:30 to 10:15. With a basic membership, you can come and exercise once a week, and you can choose which day that is. With an all-in membership you can choose from all FIT classes, but don't forget to take a rest day now and then for your recovery.

KRAV MAGA CURRICULUM TRAINING

We have now completed our first curriculum training sessions for youth and adults. These extra training sessions were well received by the members who attended. By covering all the techniques of your level in one day, you get a good idea of the exam and also get more into the Krav Maga flow. As a result, you quickly become more proficient!

The new dates of the upcoming curriculum training can be found at this page.

KRAV MAGA PRE-TEST

Krav Maga pre-tests allow members to prepare for the exams. After the pre-tests, you will receive personalised feedback and know if you are ready for the exams. Read here more on pre-testing.

The next ones will take place again in the near future. Sign up for these as soon as possible via our contact page.

FAREWELL KIDS INTRUCTOR PAUL

As of Tuesday 19 October, Paul will stop teaching kids Krav Maga classes. We are extremely grateful to Paul for the fun classes and great times he provided. We will not easily forget his contribution in increasing the resilience of the kids at Taus Gym. Thanks for everything, Paul! You will of course see Paul back as an avid Krav Maga practitioner and maybe the kids will see Paul again when they move on to adult classes.

ADJUSTED SCHEDULE AUTUMN HOLIDAYS AND CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS

During the holidays, we play sports according to the holiday schedule. Check the agenda To see what that means for you!

END-OF-YEAR DRINKS

It is almost that time again; we are already in the last quarter of this year and of course we will end it with a festive end-of-year drink! While enjoying a drink, we enjoy each other's company and look back on the past year.

In celebration of our 10th anniversary, we are treating you and asking for no own contribution! The end-of-year drink will take place on Friday 17 December, starting at 19:00h. Let us know if you are coming via contact form. For your information, this is a members-only event.
