Tijdens mijn mbo-opleiding Sport en Bewegen aan Yonder (voorheen ROC Tilburg) heb ik gekozen voor het profiel SCUB: Sport Co\u00f6rdinator Uniformeerde Beroepen. Binnen dit profiel werd ik opgeleid om les te geven aan doelgroepen binnen Defensie, Politie en Justitie. Defensie heeft daarbij altijd mijn bijzondere interesse gehad, en ik zie mezelf hier in de toekomst ook graag werkzaam. In het tweede en derde jaar van mijn opleiding liep ik stage. Op eigen initiatief ben ik op zoek gegaan naar een geschikte stageplek en kwam ik terecht bij Taus Gym. Hoewel ik de gym nog niet kende, sprak hun missie mij direct aan: bijdragen aan een gezonde en veilige samenleving door middel van Krav Maga en FIT-lessen. Deze visie sloot goed aan bij mijn eigen overtuigingen, dus besloot ik direct te solliciteren. Enkele dagen later kreeg ik te horen dat ik was aangenomen. Gedurende mijn stage heb ik me binnen Taus Gym sterk kunnen ontwikkelen, zowel op professioneel als persoonlijk vlak. Ik gaf voornamelijk FIT Circuit trainingen en verzorgde de warming-ups voor kinderen en jongeren. Daarnaast assisteerde ik bij de andere lessen waar nodig. Waar ik voorheen weinig kennis had van zelfverdediging, heb ik de afgelopen twee jaar veel geleerd op dit gebied. Bovendien ben ik onderdeel geworden van een hechte, gemotiveerde en inspirerende community. Nadat mijn mbo-opleiding was afgerond heb ik er dan ook voor gekozen om bij Taus Gym te blijven en door te gaan als Invallend Instructeur.
